Testimonials"Today, I met a professional. His name is Sandy Grandstaff and I want to commend him to you. As a little background, I had taken my car to Fitzgerald Auto Mall and they told me I needed this and that fixed my car. I was so disturbed by their evaluation that I have promised myself never to go there again. Among the many things I was told wrong with my car was that I have a bad water pump and it may leave me stranded on the road if not fixed soonest. I refused to accept their cost quote of $544 and departed. So I purchased a water pump for $36 at a parts store and fortunately found Sandy and the Auto Repair and was given an estimate of around $176 in labor to install the pump and of course I made an immediate appointment.

I turned my car into Sandy around 2 pm was to return around 4 pm to pick it up. We returned an hour or so later only to find Sandy waiting on us. He politely told me and showed me that my problem was NOT a water pump but rather an air condition compressor. In my absence, Sandy anticipated my need and had ordered the part and was ready for my decision. After his explanation I told him to please go ahead and install the compressor. Sandy further explained that I did not need a water pump at all. Now that is service! He was ready, willing and able to meet our immediate needs and requirement.

Another paramount observation while sitting in the waiting room was Sandy's demeanor and courtesy to each of his customers, either in person or telephonically. Sandy is a busy man at work. He is the catalyst that keeps the office going. Never did I hear him rush a customer or cut them short…he helped each and every one. Kudos to Sandy. You certainly have a valued employee Mr. Simpson in Sandy Grandstaff.

Please share with Sandy our thanks for a job well done and we shall return to The Auto Repair."

"I had an appointment yesterday at The Auto Repair to have to brake pads replaced on my car. I received a very surprising call from the manager, Sandy Grandstaff, stating there was approximately 50% of the pads remaining. He advised the brake pads did not need to be replaced at this time, but I should have them checked again in 6,000 - 8,000 miles. Well, I was so shocked and so glad that someone would be so honest with me. The other experiences I have had with automobile repair facilities has always left me wondering did I really need that particular service or was I just getting 'ripped off.'

Mr. Grandstaff told me in our telephone conversation that he would not do the work on my car if it was not necessary and hoped I would return with future business. I certainly will be back for future brake work, any other service and I will continue with oil changes at The Auto Repair.

I also would like to compliment your company on the facilities. Both businesses are very clean and efficient. The lobby of The Lube Center Plus had price lists and some helpful car repair information available to customers. Thank you very much for this honest and straightforward experience.

Congratulations and good luck with you successful business."

"My husband and I would like to thank you very much for what you did for us on Monday evening, February 15, 1999 by staying late and fixing our truck. A little reminder, we are the couple which our truck broke down and we were on our way to Frostburg to see our son play basketball. The good Lord was with us, as he gave us you and you were kind enough to stay and do the work.

It is so nice to know that there are still people like you out there in the world that really cares, cause today you don't see much of that.

Once again, thank you very much for your kindness, and enclosed is a small token of our thanks."

"This letter is written to you as a way of saying "thanks" for a job well done on a recent hot, Saturday morning.

On our way to Cincinnati, Ohio, the thermostat in our van froze and caused our engine to overheat and stall. After stopping at 2 of your local competitors, we were told it would take 2 - 3 hours just to take a look at our problem. Little or no concern was expressed at the fact that our whole vacation was in jeopardy, a family reunion that was planned two years ago and was eagerly anticipated by 5 families.

We were getting pretty desperate as we had a 10 hour trip ahead. You were pretty much our last hope. Upon entering your store, we were courteously and promptly greeted. After explaining our situation, you told us it would be about 45 minutes before your man could take a look at our van. Within 15 minutes, Mr. Randy Simpson did a quick diagnosis and determined that the thermostat was indeed frozen. While taking out the various engine components to reach the thermostat he informed me as he went along what he was doing and why he was doing it. He was very friendly and answered all my questions and concerns in a very professional manner. I actually got to know him and was very pleased with both his efficiency and concern.

The bottom line to all this writing is that you went out of your way to help us! No one else did.

You can be sure that the next time we pass through your town, we will stop by and introduce ourselves again and thank you once again for turning a potential disaster into a minor inconvenience. THANK YOU!"
